About Jose I live and work in both San Francisco and Palm Springs and painting is my outlet of artistic expression. I started painting over twenty years ago and am still energized every time I put brush to canvas. All of my work is available for purchase and I welcome the opportunity to do commissioned work. I’m so happy to have my work on display in so many homes and businesses. I regularly participate in local art shows including San Francisco Open Studios and show my work in area restaurants and galleries. Inspiration Often, I’m asked what inspires me to create such colorful and eclectic paintings. Living in the Bay Area for most of my life as well as having lived in the Philippines during my childhood, has afforded me an unlimited stream of seemingly ordinary subjects from which I can bring to life on canvas. Most of my work explores the diverse culture, objects, neighborhoods and landscapes that experience on a daily basis. My paintings fuse these images together along with a bold palate and unique perspective to convey the strength and intensity of my subjects.
